The NMHHC consists of non-circulating materials, which document historical health and medical practices in the states of New Mexico. It includes oral histories, rare books, photographs, artifacts, and a New Mexico/Southwest monograph collection. Materials are available for use only in the New Mexico Health Historical Collection Room #223 of the Library and Informatics Center. The NMHHC Room is open to the public on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 12:00 – 5:00, and other times by appointment.

A maximum of 5 books per person will be retrieved from offsite storage per day.
A maximum of 4 boxes per person will be retrieved from offsite storage per day.
On Tuesday and Thursday the Archivist will retrieve materials as requested during open hours in the NM Health Historical Collection Room. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the Archivist will retrieve materials by appointment. You will be notified when the material has been delivered to the NMHHC Room.
