| The University of New Mexico Division of Neonatology offers a fellowship program for those interested in pursuing an academic career in Perinatal-Neonatal medicine. The Program requires a three year commitment consisting of an active clinical service and providing considerable opportunity for bench research or clinical research. The basic philosophy of the program is that the fellowship is primarily an educational and research experience. Fellows are expected to participate in the following: |

The clinical component during the three year fellowship consists
of approximately 52 weeks of NICU responsibility. In-house call is required, and it is expected that the fellow will be available at all high risk deliveries. Call is approximately once every 5th to 6th night the first year, once every 6th night the second year, and once every 7th night the third year, for a total of 150 call nights over three years.
