Neal Dungan, RPh (Class of 1979) named the UNM College of Pharmacy 2009 Distinguished Alumnus
The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes a distinguished alumnus who
has an outstanding record of achievement in professional practice, service and/or research.
This year’s outstanding award recipient is Neal Dungan, RPh, a 1979 graduate
of the UNM College of Pharmacy.
In 1979, Neal started his career as a pharmacist at CJ’s Pillbox in
Portales, NM. In 1980, he became a staff pharmacist at Smith Food in
Albuquerque, and from 1981 to the present, he has been a pharmacist at the
Corner Drug Store, Inc, which was later renamed Southwest Pharmacy and
Advanced Medication Systems in Carlsbad.
The
University of New Mexico’s Doctor of Pharmacy program is
