DOCTOR OF PHARMACY ADMISSIONS

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy program, students must:

  • Complete all pre-professional course work.

  • Maintain a 2.2 minimum GPA in all required courses. 
    (Minimum competitive GPA is 2.5)

  • Complete a PharmCAS online application, including the submission, directly to PharmCAS, of three letters of recommendation.

  • Complete a College of Pharmacy supplemental application, including a personal photograph, and appropriate supplemental fee ($50.00).

  • Complete the PCAT

  • Deadline for applications: February 1, 2009
    Students are only admitted for fall semester each year. Application packets are made available early each June.
     

Important Information for Doctor of Pharmacy Applicants during the 2009 Application Cycle

All science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) prerequisites MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF THE SPRING 2008 SEMESTER, and all other prerequisites MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO MATRICULATION (end of summer 2009)


For Fall 2009 Applicants:  All Biology and Chemistry courses are REQUIRED to be completed within the last 7 years.  C- GRADES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Biochemistry, while not required, is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

PCAT scores MUST BE REPORTED TO PharmCAS (code 104)
