

Upon completion of the residency program in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy the resident shall be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge in the area of clinical therapeutics in the adult cardiology patient care setting.
Demonstrate competence in the evaluation, critical selection and utilization of the cardiovascular literature.
Demonstrate verbal communication skills that permit effective dissemination of cardiovascular drug information to other health care professionals via in-services and formal lectures.
Demonstrate written communication skills that permit dissemination of cardiovascular drug information via peer-reviewed publications.
Contribute directly and indirectly to patient care via the monitoring of patients under the care of the inpatient adult cardiology service.
Demonstrate competence in the provision of direct patient care through participation in several outpatient cardiology clinics.
Applicant must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school or college of pharmacy.
Applicant must be eligible for New Mexico pharmacist licensure
Applicant must have completed or be in the process of completing a pharmacy practice residency
Approximately $43,000 annually plus benefits*.
*Benefits include annual leave, sick leave and insurance.
5 working days in addition to holidays.
1-2 weeks to attend professional meetings
Medical, dental, and vision insurance are provided.
Travel and registration is provided to attend the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Western States Residency Conference.
