Continuing Pharmacy Education

The University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education. Although the Pharmacy Continuing Education Program (CENP) typically sponsors several live program each year, since 1992 the primary focus of the CENP is to produce and distribute original home-study (correspondence) continuing education material for nuclear pharmacists and nuclear medicine professionals. In fact, the UNM CENP is the only provider of such continuing education lessons approved by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties for use in the recertification process of Board-Certified Nuclear Pharmacists.

The Director of the CENP is responsible for all activities of the CENP, and this individual reports directly to the Dean of the College of Pharmacy. The current Director of the Radiopharmacy CENP is Kristina Wittstrom. The Office of the CENP can be reached at 505-272-3125; an answering machine will accept calls when the staff is not available. This phone number will reach the CE Administrator Christina Muñoz directly. You may also reach CENP by email at radiopharmacyCE@salud.unm.edu
