The mission of the CENP is to develop, sponsor, and/or provide continuing education opportunities principally for pharmacists who have an interest in specialized areas of pharmacy practice. The CENP particularly seeks to offer continuing education opportunities not generally available from other providers.
Maintain a focused and effective continuing education program that is self-sustaining.
Operate a continuing education program that consistently meets the ACPE Criteria for Quality.
Offer contemporary continuing education programming that satisfies the needs of pharmacy practitioners employed in selected specialty practice settings
Provide sponsorship for high-caliber continuing education programming that (a) supports the primary teaching initiatives of the College of Pharmacy and/or (b) enhances the continuing development of volunteer and permanent (regular) faculty members of the College of Pharmacy and/or (c) promotes cross-disciplinary interaction of professional staff and faculty at the UNM Health Sciences Center to the benefit of the New Mexico pharmacy, medical, and nursing communities
