College of Pharmacy Annual Fund
There are many
different ways that alumni and friends make
gifts to the College. But none has a greater
day-to-day impact than gifts to the College's
Annual Fund. While endowment funds help ensure
long-term financial stability, the Annual Fund
is the College's most important source of
unrestricted dollars — dollars that are vital
for scholarship support, student and faculty
research projects, special programs,
one-of-a-kind events, and many other services
and programs that define a University of New
Mexico College of Pharmacy education.
For
example, last year, alumni gifts to the
Annual Fund allowed the Dean to:
-
Send
a student to the APhA Academy of
Students of Pharmacy National
Patient Counseling Competition.
-
Send
a student to the ASHP National
Clinical Skills Competition.
-
Provide funds for Kappa Psi members
to attend the regional and national
meetings.
-
Host
a reception for the graduating
students and guests.
-
Finance the graduation class
composite which is permanently
displayed at the College.
