

Upon completion of the residency program in cardiovascular pharmacotherapy the resident shall be able to:
Design, recommend, monitor, evaluate and document patient-specific pharmacotherapy for geriatric patients in ambulatory, inpatient, and hospice settings.
Appreciate the need to adapt pharmaceutical care plans to meet the emotional and cultural needs and expectations of geriatric patients.
Provide clear, concise, applicable, and timely responses to requests for drug information from geriatric patients and their health care providers via verbal and written communication.
Design and execute investigations of issues related to geriatric pharmacy practice.
Understand the major principles of gerontology and geriatrics.
Provide instruction to pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, pharmacy residents,pharmacists or other health care providers, students or residents via in-services or formal lectures.
Approximately $43,000 annually plus benefits*.
*Benefits include annual leave, sick leave and insurance.
Five working days in addition to holidays.
1-2 weeks to attend professional meetings
Medical, dental, and vision insurance are provided.
Travel and registration is provided to attend the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and the Western States Residency Conference.
