Application Procedures For Domestic Students

**Fall Semester Admission Deadline is March 1st. *Date by which the Program must have applicant’s completed file.**

 

Admissions criteria include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 GPA, positive letters of recommendation. Although not required, completion of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) with a minimum score of 1000 is strongly encouraged. Individual concentrations may require pre-requisite course work as well.

 

  1. Submit an application packet to the UNM Graduate Admissions Department, which shall contain the following items:

  • UNM Application for Admission form (Completed online)

  • Residency form (Completed online)

  • $50.00 application fee check made out to the UNM Department of Graduate Admissions

  • Original, official, sealed transcript from each school attended

  1. Submit the following directly to the Pharmacy Program Office

  • Supplemental application for Pharmacy (to be printed and mailed to the following:  College of Pharmacy/ Graduate Program Advisor; MSC09 5360; 1 University of New Mexico; Albuquerque, NM 87131-0001)

  • Letter of intent detailing the reasons for requesting admission to the graduate program, future professional goals, why a graduate degree is necessary for the accomplishment of these goals, a description of past academic and professional accomplishments, relevant experience, and your research interests. Information on Letter of Intent is available from the Graduate Studies Website or http://www.unm.edu/grad/eforms/intentletter.html

  • Current resume providing a summary of the applicant’s experience.

  • Three letters of recommendation on UNM forms from persons familiar with your academic ability and potential for gradaute-level work. Be sure to complete the top section before distributing the form. The recommendation forms are available from the Graduate Studies Website or http://www.unm.edu/grad/eforms/Recommend.pdf

A minimum TOEFL Score of 580 on the paper test, 237 on the computer test, or 93 on the internet test. Although not required, completion of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) with a minimum score of 1000 is strongly encouraged. Individual concentrations may require pre-requisite course work as well.

 

  1. Submit an application packet to the UNM Graduate Admissions Department, which shall contain the following items:

  • UNM Application for International Admission form (Completed online).

  • Residency form (Completed online)

  • $50.00 application fee (paid by credit card on-line)

  • Original, official, sealed transcript from each school attended

  1. Submit the following directly to the Pharmacy Program Office
