“Collaborative Initiative on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders: Spectrum of
and Nutritional Risk Factors for FASD in Russia and Ukraine.”
The main goals of this prospective study with a clinical trial component is
to more fully delineate the complete range of FASD expression and to test
the potential benefit of maternal second and third trimester supplementation
with micronutrients that may help ameliorate negative outcomes of prenatal
alcohol exposure.

adequate treatment of chronic disorders in pregnancy and the effect of
poorly controlled maternal conditions on adverse perinatal outcomes.
