Practice Areas

The rotations will be mainly based at The University of New Mexico - Health Sciences Center located at 2211 Lomas Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106. UNM Hospitals (UNMH) is one of the state’s major hospitals, as well as the primary teaching hospital for UNM’s health profession students. The 619-bed acute tertiary care facility provides state-of-the-art patient care through inpatient as well as outpatient and emergency services. UNMH was recognized by HCIA as one of the top-100 hospitals in the U.S. in 1994. The resident will take a total of twelve rotations and will gain experience from these rotations through working with nationally recognized practitioners in various areas of infectious diseases.
