Professional Education

The New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center provides training in clinical toxicology for many different healthcare professionals at a variety of locations within the State and University.  A list of professional education offerings is listed below.

Clinical Toxicology Fellowship

The New Mexico Poison and Drug Information Center offers a two-year fellowship in clinical toxicology. The goal of the fellowship is to increase new knowledge in clinical toxicology by providing motivated pharmacy scholars with personalized post-doctoral research, administrative, and clinical training. The program is also designed to impart candidates with skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to function as a clinical toxicologist within a variety of clinical settings including a poison center, a clinical toxicology consulting service, an emergency, governmental agencies, or academia. Professional Outreach Program

Professional outreach programs can be arranged through Dr. Steven Seifert and Dr. Jess Benson. There is a nominal charge to cover travel expenses and professional time. All programs must be arranged at least a month in advance and are subject to speaker availability.  Please call  (505) 272-4261.
