GENERAL POLICY FOR USE OF UNM COLLEGE OF PHARMACY/COLLEGE OF NURSING SPACES
PURPOSE: This operating instruction establishes policies and procedures for the scheduling and use of the rooms, lounge, and lobby in the College of Pharmacy/College of Nursing Building.
POLICY: The UNM College of Pharmacy has established the following policies:
Use of the rooms, lounge, and lobby in the COP is generally reserved for events sanctioned by the University of New Mexico or the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and its components; however since UNM is a public institution, use of the rooms, lounge, and lobby by community or special interest groups may be approved.
The person or department that organizes the event is responsible for cleaning the room, lounge, and/or lobby following the event. Furniture must be moved back to its original position.
The person or department that organizes the event is responsible for making sure security comes by to lock up if there event is after hours or on the weekend once they are done. Security Dispatch can be reached by (505)277-2241.
The person or department that organizes the event is responsible for the cost for repair or replacement of any property damaged, destroyed or removed during the event.
The person or department that organizes the event is responsible for contacting UNM parking services at 277.9557 to make arrangements for your guests.
PROCEDURES
UNM College of Pharmacy has established the following procedures:
Requests for the use of the College of Pharmacy rooms/lobby must be submitted in writing to the College of Pharmacy. Requests may be submitted by e-mail to COPRoomReservations@salud.unm.edu or by Fax to 272- 5782. Please use our room reservation form whenever possible.
If you are unable to use our form, please include the following in your email or fax:
Upon the receipt of the request, the COP will check the master calendar to see if the room, lounge, and/or lobby is available on the date and times requested.
If the room, lounge, and/or lobby is available and the event is suitable, the COP will enter the event on the master calendar and inform the requestor that use of the area has been approved.
If the room, lounge, and/or lobby is not available or the event is not considered suitable, the COP will advise the requestor.
SPECIFIC INFORMATION/RULES ON OUR FACILITIES
THE LOUNGE ON THE PLAZA LEVEL:
When reserving the lounge keep in mind that this is the College of Pharmacy/ College of Nursing student’s lunch area. Students are to have access at all times to the area to retrieve and heat their lunches. Under no circumstance is the room to be locked at any time.
The Lounge does have 10 square tables, two round tables, 72 chairs, 4 couches, and 10 cushion chairs for use. Again, the person or department that organizes the event is responsible for cleaning the room, lounge, and/or lobby following the event. Furniture must be moved back to its original position.
Fire exits in the lounge and lobby are to be kept clear at all times.
ROOMS B-28 A, B, C, & D
Rooms B28A, B, C, and D are divided by partitions. Each room can occupy twelve people. Partitions can be opened to make one large room able to occupy forty eight people.
If the In-focus projector is needed, Rooms B28C and D need to be checked out. Projector is in Room B28C and the screen is in B28D.
In-focus Projector equipment box for Rooms B28C and D can be checked out from Room B27 in the College of Nursing/Pharmacy Building.
Weekend Use – Equipment can be checked out on Friday afternoon between 4:00 to 5:00 PM. The equipment box must not be left in Rooms B28A, B, C, or D over the weekend. It must be locked in your office or taken home with you. The box needs to be returned to Room B27 or Room B29 by 7:30 AM, Monday morning.
Absolutely NO FOOD or DRINKS in Room B28A, B, C, or D.
Furniture may be rearranged but must be put back the way it was found.
LECTURE HALL 135
In-focus Projector equipment box for Room 135 can be checked out from Room 185 in the College of Nursing/Pharmacy Building.
Late Evening Use – Equipment can be checked out from Room 185 between 4:50 and 5:00 PM (last class ends at 4:50 PM). The equipment box must not be left in Room 135 over night. It must be locked in your office or taken home with you. The box needs to be returned to Room 185 by 7:30 AM, the next morning.
Weekend Use – Equipment can be checked out on Friday afternoon between 4:50 and 5:00 PM (last class ends at 4:50 PM). The equipment box must not be left in Room 135 over the weekend. It must be locked in your office or taken home with you. The box needs to be returned to Room 185 by 7:30 AM, Monday morning.
Absolutely NO FOOD or DRINKS in Room 135.
Furniture may be rearranged but must be put back the way it was found.
AT THIS TIME THE MICROPHONE IN ROOM 135 DOES NOT WORK DUE TO THE CONSTRUCTION AREA CLOSE BY. If the requester would like to bring his/her own equipment to try prior to event, please call 2.3241 for an appointment.
LECTURE ROOM B15
In-focus Projector equipment box for Room B15 can be checked out from Room B27 in the College of Nursing/Pharmacy Building.
Late Evening Use – Equipment can be checked out from Room B27 between 4:50 and 5:00 PM (last class ends at 4:50 PM). The equipment box must not be left in Room B15 overnight. It must get locked in your office or taken home with you. The box needs to be returned to Room B27 or B29 by 7:30 AM, the next morning.
Weekend Use – Equipment can be checked out on Friday afternoon between 4:50 and 5:00 PM (last class ends at 4:5o PM). The equipment box must not be left in Rooms B15 over the weekend. It must be locked in your office or taken home with you. The box needs to be returned to Room B27 or Room B29 by 7:30 AM, Monday morning.
Absolutely NO FOOD or DRINKS in Room B15.
Furniture may be rearranged but must be put back the way it was found.
