NM Center for the Advancement of Research, Engagement, & Science on Health Disparities (NM CARES HD) Senior Fellows are a body of researchers and leaders who have made distinguished contributions in the advancement of research, engagement and science on health disparities as experienced by ethnic minority, underrepresented, or otherwise vulnerable populations at community, state and national levels. Center leaders vote for, and elect, new Senior Fellows.

NM CARES Health Disparities Fellows are a body of researchers, graduate and undergraduate university students, and staff interested in learning more about and participating in existing and emerging research to address health disparities at the local and state levels. NM CARES HD Fellows are given support when proposing new research involving the NM CARES HD, applying for funding for consultant visits, and requesting research and/or technical support.

To be considered for affiliation as a NM CARES Health Disparities Fellow, Associate Fellow or Senior Fellow, please submit a copy of your most current Curriculum Vitae or resume with updated address, telephone and email contact information, or a brief letter describing your recent work in health disparities, your health disparities research and/or community engagement interests, and any additional information that might be relevant for Center members engaged in the fellow selection process. Please submit your letter and supporting documentation to Miria Kano by email at mkano@salud.unm.edu or by fax at 505-272-8045. Thank you for your interest in the New Mexico Center for Advancement of Research, Engagement and Science on Health Disparities.
