NMIC Priorities for 2004

• Support the implementation of the Statewide Immunization Information System (SIIS) and other data gathering and quality improvement activities.
• Foster and support local immunization coalitions and other immunization related activities through mini-grants and technical assistance.
• Increase the public's knowledge and awareness of the critical importance of immunizations through public information, educational campaigns, and special events.
• Support and promote the improvement in knowledge and practice of health care providers about immunization recommendations, practices, programs, and benefits.
• Advocate and build consensus for sound and dependable immunization policies, practices and financing.
