CITI Course in the Protection of Human Research Subjects
The Collaborative IRB Training Initiative (CITI) Course is required for all investigators submitting proposals for HRRC review. This requirement went into effect October 1, 2007 for all research involving human participants regardless of the source of funding. All "key personnel" must also complete the CITI Program. Key personnel include all individuals responsible for the design and conduct of the study.
The CITI Course is recognized nationally as a comprehensive and evolving training program in Human Research Protections.
