UNM Shared Flow Cytometry and High Throughput Screening Resource

For finding our current location, please see Location page for a map to the building.

As of week of April 10th, 2017, the UNM Shared Flow Cytometry Resource will be moving to CRF 217.

The University of New Mexico Cytometry research group operates a central research facility, bringing together the necessary tools for UNM scientists to perform fluorescent cell analysis, sorting, and High Throughput Screening. The resource provides instrumentation, service, training, computational resources and technical expertise workshops.

The UNM Shared Flow Cytometry and High Throughput Screening Resource utilizes the latest in fluorescence technologies, including the HyperCyt® high throughput flow cytometry system which was invented and developed here in the facility by Larry Sklar, Bruce Edwards and Fritz Kuckuck. HyperCyt® light scatter and fluorescence services have been demonstrated on multiple machines to provide up to 100 samples per minute throughput using samples of 1 uL or less. HyperCyt® technology has been licensed by IntelliCyt Corporation of Albuquerque, NM.
