The Environmental Health Signature Program
(EHSP) at
the UNM Health Sciences Center performs basic and translational
research on regionally relevant environmental public health
issues that address the overall health needs of unique
Southwestern communities while contributing to our understanding
of global environmental health issues.
The EHSP is committed to the following goals:
increasing scholarship and research support for basic and translational environmental health research
building infrastructure to increase our programs' competitiveness for research grants while increasing institutional support for the environmental health sciences
identifying research opportunities, creating synergy, and facilitating communication across thematic areas
building collaborations and partnerships between UNM colleges and departments as well as external partners
mentoring and training future generations of scientists and scholars in environmental health sciences
