RIOS Net announces an exciting opportunity for new and existing
clinician members. Fellowship recipients will receive
coverage and support for a ten-day individual project relating to
development of health policy initiatives in their communities or across the state.
RIOS Net clinicians have made it clear that they want our research results to impact health policy. At the same time, policy makers and legislators have asked that results of network projects be provided to them to inform their work. The mini-fellowship is an opportunity for busy primary-care clinicians to participate in the policy process at the local, state, or federal level and to use that experience to improve health, health care, and health policy.
Mini-fellowship activities will be conducted at the UNM Health Sciences Center. The goal is to develop feasible plans for moving forward with a policy initiative (not necessarily to complete such an in.
Coverage for your practice graciously donated by the UNM Locum Tenens Program for up to 10 days.
RIOS Net will provide lodging, per diem, and roundtrip mileage to Albuquerque.
Policy development training individualized to fit your interests and experience
Staff support in identifying resources, partners, and action steps.
Flexible scheduling, e.g. 10 days at once, or 2-3 days at a time. All days must be completed by July 1, 2010.
