We are proud to announce our fifth published article that joins our growing library of health publications. The article examines the views of clinicians on the
subject of counseling patients about their obesity and comparing those views with current guidelines regarding obesity. The findings are in the American Journal of
Preventive Medicine (AJPM) in an article entitled
"Obesity Counseling & Guidelines in Primary Care". (PDF download). These insights are published in the April 2007 issue of the AJPM.
The problem of obesity is now epidemic in the United States. Despite the existence of clinical guidelines for prevention and treatment of obesity and documented
clinician concern about this problem, counseling for obesity reduction in primary care is infrequent. The principal aim of this study was to examine the views of
clinicians on obesity counseling and to compare these views to the recommendations of leading obesity guidelines.
