Funding
RIOS Net receives its primary funding from many sources.
National Institute of Health (NIH) - Founded in 1887, the National Institutes of Health today is one of the world's foremost medical
research centers, and the Federal focal point for medical research in the United States. Additional NIH entities:
- NIH National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine;
- The NIH Roadmap Project for Medical Research; and,
- Clinical Research Networks & the NIH NECTAR initiative.

IECRN website - The Inventory and Evaluation of Clinical Research Networks (IECRN) is funded by the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research
and provides profiles of clinical research networks. The network profiles are summaries of descriptive information about the networks,
such as types of studies, funding source, participating entities and special populations.
Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) - The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is the lead Federal agency
charged with improving the quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care for all Americans.
Health Resources and Services Administration - An agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services,
HRSA is the primary Federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or
medically vulnerable.
