RIOS Net is a network of primary care clinicians who come together to share clinical ideas and collaborate on studying ways to improve primary care for New Mexicans.
Together, based on the questions that arise in their practices, network members decide on topics to study. They may lead a study, help plan a study, or join others in collecting data.
Members determine how much time they’d like to commit. While projects vary, typical participation entails gathering information about a few cases per week, totaling perhaps 15 minutes per week for the duration of a study. At an annual convocation, members meet to discuss topics for study, help design protocols that work in real practice settings, and learn about network activities. Personal information is updated annually.
In recognition of their efforts for improving care, members are eligible for:
Gina Cardinali (gcardinali@salud.unm.edu)
or Nityamo Lian (nlian@salud.unm.edu)
