The Research Involving Outpatient Settings Network (RIOS Net) is dedicated to improving the health of and health care delivery of traditionally underserved populations in New Mexico. It is composed of primary care clinicians practicing in Community Health Centers, Indian Health Service/Tribal facilities, and academic settings.
The purpose of RIOS Net is to advance the science and understanding of providing primary care to the ethnically diverse and often low-income persons of the southwestern United States. Its goal is to bring together primary care clinicians to collaboratively study their clinical work, to share the unique characteristics of their practices, and to investigate ways to improve the care that they provide.
The network will accomplish this through the establishment of a collaborative electronic communications between primary care clinicians, by providing academic resources to clinicians, and by addressing primary care research within network practices.
