Topics for RIOS Net projects are chosen and periodically updated by member clinicians, the Board of Directors and the Community Advisory Board. Once a topic has been identified as a priority, a study group is formed to develop budget and project ideas. Here are our current areas of focus:
Changes to this list in Fall 2007 include the addition of Drug Use to Problem Alcohol use, and the addition of Wellness and Health Preservation as a topic. Tobacco use was dropped as a priority on the grounds that extensive public health resources are currently devoted to this area. Depression was also dropped a priority area in future, though the study group currently planning a project will continue.
