In fall 2007, RIOS Net submitted a major proposal to establish a research center for addressing health disparities and translating research into practice in a primary-care, multi-ethnic setting. Our full application is currently under review by NIH, with announcements expected in May 2008.

The National Institutes of Health Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) program accepts only one application per institution during each funding cycle. UNM sponsored an internal competition to select the most competitive proposal for development into a full application, and RIOS Net was selected.
