Areas of Specialization:
I am a generalist, with a strong interest in working with adolescents and families. Currently, I am the attending psychiatrist at Manzano Residential Treatment cottage at Children's Psychiatric Center, and am Training Director for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship. My educational interests lie in curriculum development, with an emphasis on how to improve our ability to teach clinical skills and evaluation. My background includes work in community mental health in Anchorage, Alaska, school based services to children and adolescents, consultation to a preschool program, work with homeless adults with chronic mental illness, and family practice in rural and arctic Canada. I have traveled extensively throughout the world. I love teaching and mentoring, and am especially interested in mentoring women interested in combining professional work with family life.
