  • Identify the molecular mechanism of fatty acid uptake by adipocytes.
  • Characterize the cooperative effects of cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans and fatty acid transporters and lipoprotein receptors.
  • Investigate the role of natural product inhibitors in Alzheimer Disease pathologies including microglial activation and amyloid plaque formation.
  • Investigate the role of inflammatory mediators in adipose hypertrophy and insulin responsiveness.
