Research Presentations are open to everyone.
Rules
1. Early sign-up sheet for presentation schedule
will be available on the board outside the Departmental Office.
Participants are encouraged to sign up prior to the start of
each semester. After that, faculty, postdoctoral fellows and
students will be selected in random to fill out the schedule
three weeks before the start of the semester.
2. Computer, laser pointer and projector are
reserved at the B&MB Office, or available in BRF 218.
3. Each presenter is responsible for coffee
and cookies on his/her day.
4. Post paper’s PDF file to the following email
account: biochemjclub@habanero.health.unm.edu at least five
days before presenting.
5. If a conflict in schedule arises, notify
Marco Bisoffi (272-8157 / mbisoffi@salud.unm.edu)
and try to arrange to swap with someone.
6. Attendance is expected of everyone.

Postdoctoral Position at the University of New Mexico
is Available to Study Functions and Regulation of
Yeast V-ATPase Pumps.
A postdoctoral position is immediately available to study regulatory and cellular functions of vacuolar ATPase pumps. Applicants would have a PhD in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field with a record of peer-reviewed publications. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated ability to carry out independent research using yeast. The candidate will combine genetics and biochemical approaches to address the molecular mechanisms and signals involved in the regulation of V-ATPase complexes. A strong background in yeast genetics, cell biology, and experience with protein biochemistry is desirable.
The candidate will be expected to participate in and contribute to a highly interactive research environment involving students and should be willing and able to apply for individual post-doctoral fellowships.
