What is the Medical Reserve Corps?
The Medical Reserve Corps was created to enhance the medical response capacity in central New Mexico and the greater Albuquerque area during a public health emergency. Additional MRC activities could include community health education, childhood immunization campaigns, influenza shot clinics and support to existing local public service. The goal of the MRC is to bring together the knowledge and skills of people from various backgrounds to address the public health needs of the community.

Who is eligible to volunteer for the MRC?
The MRC welcomes volunteers from medical and non-medical backgrounds. Your interest, expertise and licensure or certification will help determine the role you may be asked to fill within the MRC.

What should I expect, after I register?
We will contact you after your information has been received to discuss your interests in the MRC and volunteer opportunities.

Do volunteers receive any compensation?
No monetary compensation will be given to volunteers. You will be volunteering to help your community in times of need.

What are the benefits of volunteering for the MRC?
