Ayur-Yoga is individualized, therapeutic yoga that takes each person's unique constitution or its doshic imbalance, as well as seasonal effects into account. Yogita focuses in her yoga classes on gentle movement with breath-work to facilitate relaxation of body, mind, and soul to remove energy blockages from the body.
Restorative Yoga: The class is taught by Yogita on Wednesday evenings, it is taught at a beginner level and ideal for first time students. This class is designed to re-balance the nervous system and nurture the body and therefore ideal as a tool for stress-management. It is also ideal for people recovering from injuries or surgeries, because the stretching occurs gently. Props like bolsters, blankets and straps are used to facilitate the experience of holding a pose for an extended time without strain.
There is a limit of 10 people per class, therefore we recommend to pay and reserve a space ahead of time. Please be on time for this class! There needs to be a minimum of 5 students for a class to occur.

Nia
Nia, previously known as Non-Impact Aerobics, or Neuromuscular Integrative Action, blends three dance arts (Isadora Duncan, modern dance, and jazz dance), three martial arts (aikido, tae kwon do and tai chi), and three healing arts (Alexander Technique, yoga, and Feldenkrais). Nia is a form of aerobic exercise that can be practiced by people of all ages and physical conditions. It is adaptable to every level of fitness, every age and type of body, even those with special limitations. The guiding idea behind Nia is to do what feels good and right, and to stop if something hurts or does not feel right. Classes are choreographed, using a wide variety of musical styles. No special equipment is needed. The teacher leads the students through a series basic movements, which can be performed at different levels of intensity. There are a variety of movement combinations, both working with and against gravity. There is no repetitive jogging or jumping. The aim is to blend the movements with the conscious use of mind and energy. Doing Nia helps with maintaining a healthy life-style. It can be an important part of an individual's weight loss/maintenance program. It can improve endurance, strengthen muscles, and increase flexibility. It also can help relieve stress and worry. Nia can increase your fitness, health, and well-being!
