The 2007 BA/MD Admissions Application Season for current NM High School Seniors is officially Closed. The following is provided for prospective applicants to the 2008 BA/MD Admissions Cycle for informational purposes only, and is subject to change.  Please continue to check our website for the latest information.  


To apply, a BA/MD applicant must meet all of the following:


The deadline to apply to the BA/MD Degree Program is November 15.

Late applications will not be accepted. Applying to the program is a four-step process.
Please follow these important guidelines when applying:

  1. Applicants must first submit the UNM admissions application for UNM main campus. This application can be found at http://www.unm.edu/preview/na_online.htm (www.unm.edu go to Future Students). It is the applicant’s responsibility to confirm their admission status with the Office of Admissions & Recruitment Services.
  2. Application for Incoming Freshman Scholarships must be made to the Scholarship.  Information can be found at http://www.unm.edu/~schol/. 
  3. On-line application to the BA/MD Degree Program must be completed.  This application can be found at
         http://hsc.unm.edu/som/combinedbamd/
  4. All required documentation (3 letters of recommendation, ACT and/or SAT scores, official 6th semester transcripts) must be received no later than midnight November 15.  When using U.S. Mail, postmarked no later than November 15 and must be mailed to:

BA/MD applications can be edited, prior to submission, from mid-August until November 15. Access to the application will be blocked after that date, except to confirm receipt of all documentation and to update contact information.
