The Application Season
for the 2007 BA/MD Admissions Cycle is officially Closed.
Letters of recommendation
There are 13 specific college preparatory units
(two semesters equal one unit) which are used for admission to the
University of New Mexico:
• 4 English, one of which must be 11th or 12th grade composition;
• 3 Math, including algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry,
calculus, or higher mathematics;
• 2 Social Science, one of which must be U.S. history;
• 2 Natural Science, one of which must be a laboratory science in
biology, chemistry, or physics; and
• 2 Foreign Language, both of which must be the same language other than
English, or evidence of proficiency in a second language. (Please
contact the Office of Admissions with questions concerning the
acceptability of specific classes or the accreditation of high schools.)
