Dr. Contreras entered private practice in late 2007. Prior to that date, he was on the faculty in the Department of Dermatology at The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Dr. Contreras received his Medical Degree at the University of New Mexico, then continued on at UNM for his internship year in the Department of Internal Medicine. He stayed at The UNM School of Medicine, Department of Dermatology for his Dermatology residency training. Dr. Contreras volunteers for the Department by supervising clinics at the VA Hospital two mornings a week and lectures to the residents during their Noon conferences. |

Vincent Muscarella, MD, Clinical Professor, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Muscarella received his MD Degree from Loyola Medical School in Chicago, IL, in 1962. He completed residency training in Dermatology at UCLA, Los Angeles, CA, in 1968. Dr. Muscarella is one of our attending physicians at the UNM Dermatology Surgery Clinic. |

William van Horn Mason, MD, Clinical Professor, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Mason received his MD Degree from Baylor Medical, Houston, TX, in 1961. He completed residency training in Dermatology at the University of New Mexico SOM in 1979. Dr. Mason is one of our attending physicians at the UNM Dermatology Student Health Clinic. |

Kenneth Harper, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Harper received his MD Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1977. He completed residency training in Dermatology at USAF Willford Hall Medical Center in 1984. Dr. Harper is one of our attending physicians at the UNM Dermatology Surgery Clinic. |

Dr. Willis received his MD Degree from the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, GA, in 1970. He completed residency training in Dermatology at the USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, in 1978. Dr. Willis is one of our attending physicians at the UNM Dermatology Student Health Clinic. |

Joel Nash, MD, Professor, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Nash received his MD Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1964. He completed residency training in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota in 1970. Dr. Nash holds a weekly Journal Club conference for our residents. |

Janice Moranz, M.D., Assistant Professor (non-clinical), University of New Mexico HSC, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Moranz received her medical degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, in 1984. She completed residency training in Dermatology at the University of Ohio in 1989. |

David Davis, MD, Clinical Assistant Professor, University of New Mexico HSC, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Davis received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, CO, in 1994. Dr. Davis has volunteered his time to teach Mohs Dermatologic Surgery, at his Lovelace clinic, to our 3rd year residents during their surgery month rotation. |

Gary L. Bommelaere, M.D., Assistant Professor University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Bommelaere received his MD Degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1970 and completed residency training in Pediatrics and Dermatology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Dermatology. He is the only Pediatric Dermatologist in the state of New Mexico. He is a faculty physician for a Pediatric Dermatology Clinic, as well as for general dermatology clinics at Medical Arts. |

Charles Palmer, MD, Professor, University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Dermatology. Dr. Palmer received his MD Degree from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, in 1973. He completed residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of New Mexico SOM in 1977. Dr. Palmer has a dual appointment with the Dermatology Department and holds weekly dermatopathology conferences for our residents. |
