The Department of Dermatology has expanded its capabilities over the past four years to the point that our current facility has become too small to continue our future growth. Plans have been developed to remodel the existing front registration area to accommodate the growing number of staff members and to facilitate the registration and care of our patients. The architectural plans also include adding approximately 2500 square feet to the north of the existing building. The new addition would provide much needed office space for our five residents; office space for our current faculty and the anticipated growth of one to two more faculty members. A new surgical procedure room and lab will increase the capability for more complex surgical procedures to be offered by both Plastic Surgery and Dermatology.
The projected cost of the new addition/remodel is approximately $611,273. Currently, the Department has raised $512,023 toward the final goal. We are currently promoting a fund raising campaign to secure the final $99,250 needed to break ground on the expansion.
