Pictured above is Dr. Valerie Romero-Leggott (left), Dean to the Office of Diversity, Galen Longhrey, MS III,
Mariana Mejia, MS III, and Christopher Jaramillo.
Khatali and the Office of Diversity were proud sponsors of the SPIE summer curriculum program which will be introduced as an exclusive part
of the medical school program. Galen Loughrey and Mariana Mejia MS III students undertook the development and implementation of the
program and on April 7, 2008 conducted a presentation for SPIE to Khatali, and as they say, the rest is history.
All graduates of the UNM School of Medicine and former UNMH house staff are eligible for membership with the Khatali
Physicians Alumni Association. Alumni achieve "activation" of their membership by contributing $75 per year or giving
a $1,000 one-time gift to support the activities of the association. Additional gifts in any amount at any time are
also appreciated.
