Project ECHO
AHRQ and the State of New Mexico grants
- Evaluation of the educational component
- Academic medical center disease experts and rural primary care
providers conduct telehealth clinics weekly to present cases on
patients, who are infected with hepatitis C and are living in rural communities
or in prison.
- Project ECHO model is used to educate, train and support general practitioners or other
available healthcare providers on the best practice treatment protocols for complex diseases
they encounter in their communities.
