Chris began his medical education in 1988 as a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he organized and instructed remote and improvisational medical courses in mountainous, arctic, jungle and maritime tactical environments for various military units. After leaving the Navy, Chris attended Western Carolina University and earned a BS in Emergency Medical Care. He has worked as a paramedic in urban and rural EMS systems and now attends the Physician Assistant program at UNM.
