We figured since we're officemates (the word
married comes to mind) and typically if 
you see one of us the other is usually not 
far behind we'd put a picture of us together 
along with some words about both of us.  
We figure between both of us we know 
about 50% of EMS people in NM.

For the other 50% of you in EMS,  we suggest you get to know us. Sometimes we wonder if we are the same person, Rick is much better looking though.  

If ever there was an incarnate for sweet, Shelly would be it. This woman with the kindness and morals of a nun will either bring you much happiness, or aggravation. Depends on how you react to adorableness. Shelly moved to Albuquerque from the mile high city of Denver in January of 1994 to attend the University of New Mexico.  This is also when her EMS career began at the EMS Academy.  She earned her bachelor degree in Community Health as well as her master's degree in Health Education from the University of New Mexico.   

Rick moved here from a tiny no name town in Pennsylvania.  Because of his sheltered life, Rick is very free spirited to make up for his somewhat lost childhood. That includes cartoons, toy collecting and video games. Because of his impulsive nature, Rick is very outgoing, but a little too juvenile for some people's tastes.   Actually, he earned his bachelor degree in Environmental Science and Biology from East Stroudsburg University and is completing his master's degree in Health Education here at UNM.
