Workshop instructors are professors of rhetoric and writing, UNM English Department.
Chuck Paine, Ph.D., teaches writing, history, and rhetorical theory to graduate and undergraduate students. He actively consults for local and national businesses and organizations, providing writing workshops and general communications strategies. His latest book, The Resistant Writer, focuses on the history of writing instruction in America.
Rick Johnson-Sheehan, Ph.D., teaches professional writing, specializing in scientific texts, grants and proposals. He directs the professional writing program, and teaches in the Executive MBA program at the Anderson Schools of Management. His recent book, Writing Proposals: A Rhetoric for Managing Change, focuses on the proposal writing process.
