Eastern Navajo Public Health Alliance (ENPHA) and The Navajo Nation Department of Behavioral Health Services (DBHS) are requesting applications for the following positions:

SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will be
assist with literature review and summaries, research proposal preparation, UNM pre-
and post-award submission process for grant application, preparation of Human Research
Review Committee (HRRC) applications, data entry and data management, administering structured
patient and provider interviews, manuscript preparation, conducting statistical analysis and
participating in interpretation of results on a routine basis. While most of the tasks will be
conducted on the personal computer at the University of New Mexico, the incumbent might be
required to administer structured questionnaires in clinical settings off campus (compensation
for travel will be provided). The main focus of research efforts will be in the field of
pharmacoepidemiology and clinical research.

The Office of Injury Prevention, Injury and Behavioral Epidemiology Bureau, Epidemiology and
Response Division of the New Mexico Department of Health is looking for a
Youth Injury Prevention
Coordinator (Health Educator A). The purpose of this position is to provide leadership for
intentional and unintentional injury prevention efforts in New Mexico that affect infants,
children, adolescents and young adults; to support program development, evaluation, and improvement
of practices, working with schools, community organizations, and state, tribal and federal agencies;
and to enhance the use of morbidity and mortality data in guiding programs and policies. A Master's
degree in one of the following fields of study is required for this position: Public Health, Health
Education, Social Work, or related field.

Partnering in Community Health Research (PCHR) (Vancouver, Canada) is a collaborative training program that provides training for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and community program practitioners and specialists. Working in partnership, program participants learn research skills required to resolve actual and urgent community health problems. PCHR is funded by Canadian Institutes for Health Research and Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research.
PCHR’s most innovative feature is the creation of community-based learning environments, called clusters. Clusters act as issue-based points of contact for experienced professors, practitioners, and executives to serve as mentors for our learners. Health Planner II

Position Overview
The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) has an opening for a Health Planner II to provide professional research, analysis and policy and program support for COG̓s regional health program, including public health, behavioral/mental health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Position Responsibilities Assist senior staff in administering COG̓s health work program, including professional staff support for health-related committees, policy initiatives, and program tasks. The Health Planner II will also be responsible for assisting senior COG staff and committee representatives in advancing health-related policy and technical issues associated with COG̓s regional emergency coordination plan and the bio-terrorism planning guidance. Specific responsibilities include preparing health policy and technical reports under the guidance of COG staff and health committees; memoranda and other program correspondence; responding to requests for information from COG member local governments and area health agencies; presentation of information, findings and other data to COG health and policy committees; coordinating regional health conferences, trainings and symposiums under the guidance of health committees; and assisting senior staff in developing funding proposals to expand and enhance public health work program. Required Education and Experience Applicants for Planner II must have a Master's degree in health, public administration/ management, social work (administrative) or related academic field and two years professional work experience in one or more of the above-referenced areas desired. Other combinations of experience/education will be considered. Strong writing and communication skills are required. Must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills. Ideal applicant will have experience and knowledge of working with minority, minority language, and/or special needs populations. Demonstrated experience using the following software applications: word processing, spreadsheet and graphic/presentation.
