Master of Public Health
Public Health Outreach Education Program (PHOEP)
The UNM Master of Public Health Program seeks to provide leadership in graduate and
community-based education to improve the health of diverse populations. The Public
Health Outreach Education Program (PHOEP) fulfills the community-based education component of
the MPH Mission.
Goals of PHOEP
- Develop and provide basic public health courses to the public health workforce and people in communities
throughout New Mexico who are seeking to improve their knowledge of public health and build public
health capacity.
- Encourage the future development of appropriate public health policy by providing public health
learning opportunities to state, county, and community decision-makers.
