The Office of Research Administration was developed to meet the department's growing research needs in pre-award, post award, and compliance.

Research Goals

1. Focus on health disparities/equities, health systems, prevention:
2. Provide faculty development in scholarly activity in all missions.
3. Become a Top 10 NIH funded Family and Community  Medicine Department.
4. Develop philanthropic and non-federal grant and contract funding directed toward our research priorities.

The Department’s Vice Chair of Research is Robert Rhyne, MD.
