Research Goals

  1. Focus on health disparties/equities, health systems, prevention:
    • PRRN, CBPR, Signature Programs, CTSC;
    • Develop research priorities and trajectories within our areas of focus.
  2. Provide faculty development in scholarly activity in all missions.
  3. Become a Top 10 NIH funded Family and Community Medicine Department.
  4. Develop philanthropic and non-federal grant and contract funding directed toward our research priorities.

The Department’s Interim Vice Chair of Research is Robert Rhyne, MD.
