Newborn and Pediatric Services

Our Neonatal/Pediatric Scatterbed Nurses provide many services needed for the smooth implementation of studies in the pediatric and neonatal areas. All of the nurses have previous nursing experience in these areas as well as extensive experience with GCRC and industry funded clinical trials. Their involvement begins during the preliminary design of the study and continues throughout. Some of the services available through our unit are:

Nursing Support

• Assistance in designing data sheets
• Screening and recruitment of patients
• Collection and storage of samples
• Collection of data
• Administration of study drugs
• Providing study related information to parents and staff
