Health Surveys
Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS): Provides 1) estimates of the prevalence and distribution of selected diseases/conditions, 2) prevalence and distribution of risk behaviors and protective factors, 3) comparisons of HP2000 and HP2010 objectives, and 4) ability to monitor trends in New Mexico.
Youth Risk and Resiliency Survey: The YRRS is a state-wide, school-based survey that contains questions on resiliency factors chosen from established surveys as well as the six health risk-behavior categories which are known to cause premature morbidity and mortality among youth. The YRRS provide a snapshot of the current behaviors and assets of New Mexico’s high school students.
