- Emerging Infections Program (EIP)
Funded by CDC and DOH, EIP conducts statewide active surveillance for new cases infected with certain specified infectious pathogens.
- Southwest Addictions Research Group (SARG)

In collaboration with Center on Alcoholism, Substance Abuse, and Addictions (CASAA) and Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) and funded by National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), SARG aims to develop alcohol interventions in minority communities. - National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities
IPH has received endowment grants from National Institutes of Health for research on health disparities. Income from the endowment supports IPH research infrastructure and student projects on health disparities.
- Tobacco Settlement Fund: IPH has received funding from New Mexico’s Tabacco Settlement Fund to support junior faculty in epidemiology and biostatistics from several departments to conduct preliminary studies needed to apply for funding of full research projects. - Rosenblatt/Lenneberg Endowment
IPH administers the Wilhelm Rosenblatt and Edith Lenneberg Endowment for Tuberculosis (TB) and International Public Health. The Endowment supports medical and public health curricula in TB and community-based international public health (including a course in the MPH Program), a lectureship, and services in Latin America for TB control.
