Warren K. Laskey, M.D.

Dr. Laskey is the Robert S. Flinn Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Laskey received his MD from New York University School of Medicine, New York City, New York; he completed his residency at the University of Minnesota, and his fellowship in Cardiology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Laskey is ABIM certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Jonathan Abrams, M.D.

Dr. Abrams is a Distinguished Professor of Medicine, University of New Mexico School of Medicine, and former Chief of the Division of Cardiology. Abinash Achrekar, M.D.

Dr. Achrekar attended college at UC Berkely, public health school at Yale University, and medical school at Michigan State University. He has completed Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico. Bina Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Ahmed is Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. She is a graduate of Dow Medical College (Karachi, Pakistan), and completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, clinical and research fellowship in Women's Health / Preventive Cardiology at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Gerald Charlton, M.D.

Dr. Charlton is an Associate Professor of Medicine,and Program Director of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Training Program and practices at the VA Hospital.  Dr. Charlton is ABIM certified in Internal Medicine and completed cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Bart Cox, M.D.

Dr. Bart Cox is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and Director of the Heart Failure Program. Robert J. DuBroff, MD, FACC

Dr. DuBroff comes to UNM after many years in private practice in Albuquerque. He attended medical school at the University of Chicago, specialized in Internal Medicine during his internship and residency at the University of California - San Francisco, and completed his cardiology fellowship at Northwestern University where he was chief fellow. He also completed an American Heart Association mini-fellowship in lipid disorders at the University of California, Berkeley. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Critical Care Medicine (1987-1997), Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography (testamur), Lipidology, and Vascular Ultrasound. Milton V. Icenogle, M.D.

Shmuel Inbar, M.D.

Dr. Inbar is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine and the director of Cardiac Electrophysiology Services. He received his MD Degree from Technicon-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa Israel, Cum Laude in 1977. He performed a Rotating Internship at Rambam Medical Center, Haifa, Israel, and completed a Residency in Internal Medicine, Poria Government Hospital, Israel.  Dr. Inbar completed his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases at Tel Aviv Medical Center, Israel.
