Cardiology Fellows

Abinash Achrekar, MDAbinash Achrekar, MD
Dr. Achrekar attended medical school at Michigan State University.  He completed his Residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Dr. Achrekar will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2009 and is interested in public health and teaching prevention.

 

 



Matthew Fraley, MD Matthew Fraley, MD
Dr. Fraley attended medical school at Southern Illinois University.  He completed his Residency at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.  Dr. Fraley will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2009 and plans to practice clinical cardiology with an expertise in echocardiography at a teaching institution.

 

 


Armin Foghi, MD Armin Foghi, MD
Dr. Foghi attended medical school at Ross University.  He obtained his Ph.d degree in Cell Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto, Canada.   Dr. Foghi completed his Residency at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.   He will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2008 and plans to remain in New Mexico pursuing research and clinical training in the cardiovascular field, while remaining an active member of academia.

 

 


Gabaldon, MD

Jude Gabaldon, MD
Dr. Gabaldon attended medical school at University of New Mexico School of Medicine.  He completed his Residency at Cleveland Clinical Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.   Dr. Gabaldon will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2010 and plans to pursue a career in cardiovascular medicine

 


 

Eric Haas, MD Eric Haas, MD
Dr. Haas attended medical school at University of Washington.  He completed his Residency at University of California at Davis, Sacramento, California.  Dr. Haas will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2009 and plans to practice as a clinician investigator, and an educator in an academic setting.
 

 


 

Tim Issac, MDTim Issac, MD
Dr. Issac attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine.  He completed his Residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.  Dr. Issac will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2010 and plans to practice in cardiac imaging and interventional cardiology.


 


 

Joseph Joson, MD Joseph Joson, MD
Dr. Joson attended medical school at East Virginia Medical School.  He Completed his Residency at University California at Davis, Sacramento, CA.  Dr. Joson will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2010. His interest are educational teaching with respect to primary and secondary prevention.

 

 


Jeremy Lum, MD Jeremy Lum, MD
Dr. Lum attended medical school at University of Hawaii.  He completed his Residency at University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii.  Dr. Lum will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2009. His interest in Cardiology include interventional cardiology, congestive heart failure, and cardiac imaging.

 

 


Evan Mokwe, MD Evan Mokwe, MD
Dr. Mokwe attended medical school at Wayne State University.  He completed his Residency at Detroit Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan.  Dr. Mokwe will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2008 and plans to enter into private practice.

 

 

 


Mel Peralta, MD Mel Peralta, MD
Dr. Peralta attended medical school at University of Texas.  He completed his Residency at University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Dr. Peralta will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2009 and plans to practice as a general cardiologist in a group practice.

 



Harold Sunderman, MD Harold Sunderman, MD
Dr. Sunderman attended medical school at University of Texas.  He completed his Residency at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He will complete his Cardiology fellowship in 2008 and plans to remain in New Mexico.
