
David Garcia is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine. He joined the faculty at the UNM SOM in 1999 after completing his residency and a Chief Resident year at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Garcia is a hospitalist and practices as a member of the division of General Internal Medicine at University Hospital. He is also co-director of the UNM anticoagulation clinic. His main scholarly interests are focused around the treatment and prevention of thromboembolic disease.

Tina Gomez is the clerkship Administrator for the Office of Education. She has been with the University of New Mexico since 1996. Her experience has been multifaceted from working with chairman, directors, faculty, residents, and medical students to staff, co-workers, and clerkship administrators both locally and nationally. She started working with medical students in the Department of OB/GYN, the Division of Cardiology and now in her current position. Tina has worked in Internal Medicine since 1998.
