Description:
Chief of Gastroenterology at University of New Mexico-Health Sciences Center
looking for 2-3 post-doctoral fellows with strong background in cell biology,
molecular biology, or physiology to join his research laboratory. PI has
multiple research grants to study various aspects of intestinal epithelial
biology as it relates to intestinal inflammation. Specific areas of focus
include physiologic, molecular, and cytoskeletal regulation of epithelial
barrier, role of cytokine (including TNF-ά IFN-γ, NF-kB ) modulation of
epithelial tight junction barrier, and pharmacologic modulation (including
ethanol) of intestinal epithelial barrier. Additional areas of interest include
intestinal transport and mucosal wound repair. This is an outstanding
opportunity to join in the development of top-notch research program in New
Mexico.
